Valentine's Day

My boyfriend Marc and I do not really celebrate Valentine's Day like your average couple. We think it is kinda stupid actually. We think it is a hallmark holiday and that there should not be just one day to show your affection toward the one you love. And spending money on each other for that is silly...plus my birthday follows two days after. So our Valentine's Day was pretty relaxed. I came over to his house in the early afternoon and while he was still sleeping his sister Alyssa (my best friend) did my hair and make-up. She just straightened it because I didn't feel like it...it gets old after a while and she is as amazing as a make-up artist! Then I hung out with my boyfriend and we went to dinner at Fridays. We decided to visit Darcy at Family Video and rented two movies. We rented "Gamer" and "Spread." We watched "Gamer" with Alyssa and her boyfriend Jake (Marc's best friend). Then Marc and I watched "Spread" by ourselves. I would not recommend either of those movies...unless you like porn of course! Oh and if you want to watch someone feed a frog a mouse then "Spread" is definitely your movie. I watched that movie over an hour ago and I cannot get it off of my mind. It was so disgusting I felt like I was going to throw up and I almost started crying.

  1. I personally find that Valentine's Day is Single's Discrimination Day :) but yes, totally agree with the Hallmark Holiday! I find it pointless, but the whole idea is romantic.

  2. It is a Hallmark Holiday. It is still fun to go out or get together with people be it friends or family or significant other. You don't have to be elaborate just be together. Eww that movie sounds gross. Thanks for the heads up on them.

  3. Finally! I was beginning to think that I was the only one who thought that Valentine's Day was a sham. I never understood why you should express your love to someone on just that day, not every day. Not very loving if you ask me! I've never heard of Spread, but I did see Gamer. It was interesting, but the plot development was lacking.

  4. haha I like your analogy of single's discrimination day. :) I have a boyfriend and we spend Valentine's Day togehter but I wouldn't go as far to call it romantic. I think we just have ideas in our brain on what it should be! Spread was disgusting! And Joey I am not a gamer however the parts about the game where interesting however it could have been better!
